Abstract

This community service initiative evaluates the impact of mobile applications (Haji Pintar-Satu Haji, and Kawal Haji) on enhancing digital literacy and ritual understanding among pilgrims at KBIHU Ahmad Dahlan, Pringsewu. Over one month, a group of participants engaged with mobile-based tutorials and mentoring, which included content designed to enhance their Hajj preparation. Survey data indicated that nearly all participants had access to Android smartphones, with 41.3% rating their digital skills as "very good." The video tutorials were the most commonly accessed feature (34.8%), and the majority of pilgrims reported a better understanding of the rituals. While the outcomes were positive, challenges such as infrequent usage, accessibility concerns, and requests for offline content were also noted. This study highlights the potential of mobile applications in enhancing Hajj preparation and offers recommendations for further improvement, including more inclusive design and sustained digital engagement strategies
